About us
A legendary name, which brings memories of lost homelands, bearing in its valuable distillery secrets from the distant 1875, which took root in Selymbria, Istanbul, but it tortured and sank in Greece. A glass that has been filling and emptying and refilling, with its contents every time a little more full, more tasty, more valuable.
Worthy continuators of a long tradition in ouzo and tsipouro distillation, viticulture and winemaking, many decades and four generations after our great-grandfather first distilled his famous ouzo in Constantinople, we continue to serve with knowledge, passion and unconditional love an art that has taken off through the centuries.
Ιnspired creators, we never stop tasting, smelling, savoring, imagining. We do our best to make people’s toasts and make the world of Greek spirits as we dream of: a little bit sweeter, in each swallow.

Anestis Babatzim
The name Babatzim, which in Turkish means “our revered father” or “papa”, came from his workers themselves, who called him so, because they appreciated and loved him unconditionally.
