Τsipouro

Made exclusively from grapes grown on Greek land. Available both with and without anise. The product acquires a more distinctive flavor identity with the addition of anise seeds, while in its version without, the addition of wild herbs during the second distillation gives tsipouro a special and complex aromatic opulence.

Tsipouro is the product that comes from the distillation of 20% of grape marc and wine lees.

During the first distillation, the product (Suma) obtained is the product whose alcoholic strength does not exceed 35% vol.

During the second distillation we receive the “heart” of the product (the part that is clean and free of unpleasant odors and flavors), which is now 70 – 72% Vol. The final product is always diluted to 40% or 42% vol.

Anise seeds are involved in the second distillation, when we produce tsipouro containing dried anise seeds.

When we produce tsipouro without anise, the aroma of tsipouro is achieved in combination with the grape varieties.

The addition of wild herbs during the second distillation adds a special aromatic opulence.

The product acquires a more intense flavor identity with the addition of anise seeds.
